Funding

Transparent and with clear rules: Our financing

The SCQM Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt foundation. It is financed by various sources. For our operating costs, the maintenance and further development of the SCQM database, we receive generous donations from foundations and other private benefactors, as well as financial support from partners in the pharmaceutical industry.

These donors have no influence whatsoever on the use of funds, the orientation or the operation of the registry. They also have no access to patient data, which ensures the independence of the research at all times.

Our research work is also partly made possible by donations, which are earmarked for specific projects. The SCQM Foundation maintains several research funds, for example for the individual cohorts. These are mainly funded by Swiss universities or sometimes by international research groups.

The SCQM Foundation also provides services such as data analyses or support with statistical evaluations for research projects, which generates further income.

In order to avoid potential conflicts of interest, to ensure our independence and to work transparently, the acceptance of financial contributions is always contractually regulated.
